MARIUS LEHENE
4th dan, ISKF

Sensei Lehene is a certified ISKF (International Shotokan Karate Federation) instructor and a certified ISKF competition judge. He started practicing karate in the 1980s, in Romania, and has had the privilege to be a karate student to exceptional instructors such as Sensei Liviu Crisan (6th dan, currently President of WUKF), Sensei Brad Webb (5th dan, at the time ITKF/AAKF) and Sensei Alex Tong (6th dan, ITKF/AAKF). Upon moving to Colorado in the early 2000s, he joined sensei Dennis Bower's (8th dan, ISKF) dojo and started training with Master Yutaka Yaguchi (9th dan, ISKF). He considers himself a follower of sensei Yaguchi's approach to karate. ​

Sensei Lehene is a former competitor in both sports (WUKO) and traditional (ITKF, JKA, ISKF) karate tournaments, in the United States and in Eastern Europe.

​ In his "other" life sensei Lehene is an artist (not at all "martial") and Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at Colorado State University. But, then, maybe this is his "other" life...
